"I haven't been dormant all these years between records. In fact, I've recorded two albums in addition to Myth of the Heart that remain unreleased and under the ownership of my previous label. I have enough unreleased material to fill at least four new albums.
I'm currently in the process of crowd funding and applying for grants to record an album with David Boyle of Church House Studios in Austin, TX featuring some of my favorite local musicians.
This new material is different from my more innocent and immediately digestible folk debut. The lyrics are still the driving force of my music, but the sweetness of my teenage voice has given way to something much more expressive and dynamic. In crafting these songs, I've broken out of my Americana mold and expanded my range as an artist.
What I'm hoping to give you with this new album is something haunting, a little witchy, and cinematic in its scope.
